Absolute Zero is an Ice-elemental Limit Break appearing in Epic Battle Fantasy 4 and Epic Battle Fantasy 5. It can learned by Natalie, Anna, and NoLegs (5 only for the latter).
Description[]
When cast, a large crest appears over the targets, depicting a staff in front of massive ice formations and a circular magic sigil. This is followed by the targets being encased in a giant mound of ice that subsequently explodes, dealing accurate magical Ice damage with a very high chance to debuff Evade and inflict several stacks of Freeze.
Although Absolute Zero isn't an especially damaging Limit Break, its associated debuff and status are excellent for crippling foes and paving the way for further attacks. It's a great follow-up for Tsunami, since it takes full advantage of the latter's Wet infliction; in turn, it sets up other Limit Breaks to deal even more damage to the Frozen foes. In EBF5, Absolute Zero also has the added effect of clearing all active cooldowns from the party, giving it additional utility.

Absolute Zero is found inside a chest on the campsite screen of the Crystal Caverns. The chest is revealed after lighting all of the torches with The Candle, and is blocked by a battle that appears as an Ice Idol. The Hammer is needed to break boulders blocking some of the torches.

Absolute Zero is obtained by completing's King's quest in the Frozen Valley, two screens below the gate on the Rainbow River. It can be learned by Anna, Natalie, or NoLegs, and it has no prerequisite skills.
Compared to its previous appearance, it hits twice with higher power and Accuracy than before; it also costs a little less AP to upgrade per level. Additionally, it clears any cooldown timers the party may be suffering from, and newly-introduced Equipment Effects can further amplify its Freeze and Evade-debuffing effects.
