The Accelerator is a non-elemental gun available for Lance in Epic Battle Fantasy 4 and 5. In EBF4, it is exclusive to the Steam release of the game and the Premium Pack. In EBF5, it is currently exclusive to the paid Steam release of the game and the outdated free Battle Demo.

Description

The Accelerator is a large steampunk gun made out of gears and some sort of antique metal, and has a nifty-looking clock on it. In EBF5, it lost one of its barrels, added a second wire/tube along the underside, and had the gears on its side slightly rearranged; it also has a slightly darker color scheme overall. It colors Lance's revolver a brassy brown with a tan barrel and a similarly-colored gear on the back.

Epic Battle Fantasy 4

Aside from a good bonus to Attack and Magic Attack, the Accelerator specializes in buffing the party between turns. It can randomly give Lance a Charge for his Hyper Beam skill or cast Speed Up on a random ally, buffing their Accuracy and Evade.

The Accelerator resists Fire, Thunder and Ice. None of these become an immunity at Level 5.

Epic Battle Fantasy 5

Normal

The Accelerator grants a decent boost to Attack, Magic Attack, Accuracy and Evade. Its passive effects can give Haste to Lance or cast Speed Up to do the same for a random ally; on the other hand, its single-target weapon-elemental skills have a good chance to unleash Slow Down to try and Stun a foe. These skills also inflict Bad Luck alongside a fair Accuracy debuff, which combine to greatly reduce the victim's hit chance even if they avoid being Stunned by the gun's unleash.

The Accelerator resists Fire, Thunder and Ice. None of these become an immunity at Level 5.

Equip Remix

The Alt Accelerator is a support-focused weapon in a similar vein to the Alt Dragon's Feather. It has some of the worst stats of any gun in Lance's arsenal, significantly reducing his offenses and defenses while also cutting into his HP. However, it compensates with several useful support abilities: its weapon-elemental skills have a decent chance to Stun foes, it increases the potency of buff and debuff skills, and it is guaranteed to give its wielder Haste between turns, ensuring that Lance will be able to act twice per round after the first turn.

The Alt Accelerator has resistances to Stun, Stagger, Confuse, Disable, and Syphon; all of these become immunities at Level 5.

Epic Battle Fantasy 4

Found on Battle Mountain, specifically in a chest at the top-right of the desert block puzzle screen, accessible after defeating Rainbow Rafflesia. The Stepladder is required to get this far.

Found inside a chest in the Crystal Caverns,one screen east of the entrance, to reach the chest the slippery ice puzzle must be solved.

	Accelerator
	Manipulates spacetime to your advantage. May unleash Slow Down while attacking. Level 3: Randomly casts Speed Up between turns. Level 5: Gives the player haste status.
