With 100% {{e|Bio}} resistance, the explosion deals no damage, and the status it inflicts can be easily cured before it does much harm. Thus, is properly prepared, the Acid Bomb can be safely allowed to explode with minimal consequences.

The Acid Bomb is a foe in Epic Battle Fantasy 5. It is a member of the Bombs enemy group. It is only found in the Mineshaft Maze and in the Temple of Trials as part of the Neon Valhalla fight.

Appearance

The Acid Bomb has a tan cylindrical base with a large glass orb on top of it filled with green acid, with golden brown fins and supports, like the other bombs. It shares the same color scheme as the Steam Fish and the Neon Valhalla.

Overview

The Acid Bomb explodes after taking three turns, but can be stalled by inflicting status conditions like Stun and Freeze to stop it from counting down. The three lamps on the bomb indicate how much time is left, with the green upper one lighting up when it's ready to detonate. If the Acid Bomb is Syphoned by the time it's ready to explode, the bomb will be unable to detonate and will Surrender instead.

With 100% Bio, the bomb will be completely nullified and can be safely let to launch; while Burn resistance may be helpful, the status is mild enough that it can be Purify-ed the next turn. If that is not an option, hitting it with a Wetting-attack such as Bubble Blast and following it up with Plasma Field or Iceberg should deal heavy damage.

Unlike most foes in EBF5 and like other Bombs, the Acid Bomb cannot be captured to be used as a summon.

  • Countdown > 0 → Decrease Countdown by 1
  • Countdown = 0 and not Syphoned → Explode
