The Blade of Hell is a foe in Epic Battle Fantasy 4. It only appears in the final battle alongside The Destroyer, serving as the unholy counterpart of the Blade of Heaven.

Appearance[]

The Blade of Hell is a grisly appendage connected to The Destroyer by what appears to be a giant, off-white spinal column. Its "head" is a dark brown piece of bone that connects the "spine" to an enormous, irregular spike of off-white bone that acts like a crude sword.

Overview[]

The Blade of Hell is a secondary attacker for The Destroyer, armed with two powerful physical attacks. It can burrow underground to stab a single target for partly Earth-elemental damage, or it can slash the entire party for non-elemental damage. The speed at which the Destroyer can replace lost Blades means that it's better to incapacitate them instead of killing them; debuffs and status effects like Weaken and Tired can cripple its threat level without giving Dark Godcat a chance to call in new, potentially deadlier backup.

The Blade of Hell has less resistances than the Blade of Heaven; it absorbs Dark, is immune to Poison, and resists Wind, but it takes extra damage from Fire, Thunder, Ice, and especially Holy. In terms of status effects, it is only immune to Poison and resistant to Stun.
