The Blizzard is an Ice-elemental sword available for Matt in Epic Battle Fantasy 2 and 3.

Description

The Blizzard is a large bastard sword with a large, tapering blade set in a metallic cross-guard, with small spikes on the sides of the cross-guard and the tip of the hilt. The hilt is wrapped in a leather material to function as a grip, and there are mysterious symbols engraved into the blade. The blade, spikes and pommel are all made out of ice.

Epic Battle Fantasy 2

In EBF2, the Blizzard is a strong, balanced weapon that has good stats for both offenses and defenses, though it has modest Accuracy and Evade penalties. It is tied with Anarchy for being the second most physically powerful sword (however, Soul Eater has double the power albeit with significantly weaker defenses), and can somewhat reliably Stun foes through its Unleash. It is also the only Ice elemental weapon, and provides the strongest boost to Iceberg.

Epic Battle Fantasy 3

In EBF3, the Blizzard is a heavy hitting offensive weapon that offers the best offenses short of Soul Eater with more manageable penalties. The Blizzard has a huge Attack boost, average Magic Attack, and somewhat raises HP. However, this comes at the cost of Accuracy and Evade penalties. It can also debuff foe's Evade by up to 50% through its Unleash, though this is something of a niche feature.

While Blizzard is a powerful sword, it is generally outclassed by the Soul Eater, particularly for Berserker builds. For one thing, Blizzard is weaker as even when using Iceberg, the elemental boost brings Blizzard to having identical power to Soul Eater using the same skill. While Blizzard offers better defenses, the consistent power Soul Eater has regardless of element - as well as having weapon-elemental attacks that cannot be absorbed - makes the Soul Eater a much more potent weapon and typically a better choice.

The Blizzard significantly resists Ice and Water, neither of which become immunities.
