The Blood Bank is a Bio-elemental cat toy available for NoLegs in Epic Battle Fantasy 5.
Description[]
The Blood Bank set is composed of an IV bag and an oversized glass syringe, both filled with red fluid (presumably blood). When the "Blood" filter is turned off in Options, the fluid inside the syringe and the bag will be colored green instead of red.
Normal[]
The Blood Bank gives significant amounts of Attack and HP (the latter is only second to the Riot Shield), a below-average boost to Magic Attack, a slight Accuracy increase, and a boost to Bio skills. Its weapon-elemental attacks drain HP from foes while simultaneously inflicting Poison; it can also give NoLegs the Regen status between turns, allowing him to heal even on turns he does not attack.
With its strong Attack and HP-draining effect, the Blood Bank is a powerful endurance-based weapon that allows NoLegs to both dish out major damage and keep himself in top condition. Its high HP bonus mitigates NoLegs's inherent fragility, but he'll need shared skills to take advantage of its elemental boost.
The Blood Bank resists Tired, Weaken, Poison, Virus, Death, and Doom, becoming immune to all of them at Level 5.
Equip Remix[]
The Alt Blood Bank is a dangerous cat toy with great Attack and a decent HP boost. It inflicts Virus and drains enemy HP with Weapon-elemental skills, and it has a high chance of granting Auto-Revive to NoLegs between turns, although it also makes him go Berserk every turn after the first.
Although Berserker builds are rarely optimal in EBF5, the Alt Blood Bank isn't a bad choice for self-sufficient offense; its HP-draining effect lets NoLegs easily heal himself as he rampages, and the frequent Auto-Revive applications provide an additional safety net. The ability to spread Virus also allows NoLegs to slowly wear down foes, but make sure the rest of the party is prepared for the possibility of infection. Be careful using Purify and other multi-target status-curing skills, lest you cure NoLegs's Berserk status and briefly lower his damage output; on the other hand, this can give him an opportunity to support the party or target a specific foe before he goes Berserk again.
The Alt Blood Bank is slightly less efficient than The Alt Stinger in a Virus party; it has less Bio resistance and its mass Virus application is less reliable after the first turn. On the other hand, it has much more offensive punch, allowing NoLegs to speed up the enemies' demise while keeping himself alive and healthy. It pairs well with the Alt Gas Mask to improve NoLegs's Virus infliction, let him heal off of the status, and making him immune to Dark; alternatively, the Alt Spartan Helmet can be used to give a Fire absorption (and auto-Burn to exploit it) along with an additional source of Berserk.
The Alt Blood Bank resists Bio, Dispel, Death, and Doom, all of which become an immunity at Level 5.
Epic Battle Fantasy 5[]
The Blood Bank is found inside a chest in the Mystic Woods on the screen with the statues; the block puzzle must be solved to make the chest appear.

Trivia[]
- Despite its name and appearance, the Blood Bank doesn't actually require any blood or animal products to be forged. In fact, it largely uses fruit, which might suggest that the "blood" is actually a mixture of liquefied fruits that provide healing as if they were used as items.
- While largely coincidental, the Blood Bank can be considered something of a counterpart to the Biohazard Blaster. Both are syringe-like Bio-based weapons full of fluid that changes color with specific settings, and they have similar Equipment Effects, such as an elemental boost that their wielders can't really exploit without shared skills and HP-draining weapon-elemental skills that also leave a damaging status effect on their targets. Interestingly, both can also inflict Virus, but in different game modes; the Biohazard Blaster does it in normal games, while the Blood Bank does so in Equip Remix.
- The alternate color palettes for the two weapons switch the color of their "ammunition"; the Biohazard Blaster's green fluid becomes red when equipped with specific armors, and the Blood Bank's red contents turn green if the "Mature" option is disabled.
