The Bubbler MX-01 (previously named Offender Mk III and Frosty MX in the game's demos) is a foe and a summon in Epic Battle Fantasy 5. It can be found in the Iron Fortress, as well as in the Frozen Valley. It is a member of the Defenders enemy group.
Appearance[]
The Bubbler MX-01 is a large blue Defender style robot, with four wheeled legs, a pair of machine guns, and an angled cannon on the top of it. However, it has distinct air conditioning vents on both sides, resembling those of the Fridge Turret.
Overview[]
The Bubbler MX-01 is a foe who fights like a cross between a classic Defender and a Fridge Turret. It uses an assorted ranges of Bomb, Water, Ice, and Wind attacks, as well as being equipped with debuffing skills, making it overall a foe not to be reckoned with lightly. On its offensive side, it shares its bomb-element attacks with its Mk III cousin, with their spraying machine guns and cannon being able to severly hamper the team's durability. It also shares the Mk III's ability to debuff the player's Accuracy and Evade, requiring the players to counter with appropiate methods.
These similarities end there however, as the Bubbler MX-01 can also inflict Light, Wet, and Freeze effects with its deadly side-vents, though the chances a low, unless on Hard or Epic difficulty.
With power comes a great price, and the Bubbler MX-01 shares the same weakness to debilitating effects as the Mk III (particularly Weaken, Tired, Curse, Dry, and most ironic of all, Wet). Dry aids in exploiting the Bubbler's Bomb weakness. It's non-immunity to Ice attacks may benefit the Wet status by increasing the received damage to partly counter its ability to absorb Water attacks.
Like the Mk III, the Bubbler has no reaction towards the Berserk status, other than a damage boost, so using it is inadvisable.
The Bubbler MX-01 (as mentioned earlier) absorbs Water, and resists Earth, Bio, and Wind, but is weak to Bomb and Thunder. Like the Defender Mk III, the Bubbler is also immune to Stun, Chill, Freeze, Syphon, Poison, Virus, Doom, and Instant Death, as well as slightly resistant to all stat debuffs except for HP.
The Bubbler MX-01 is also the only foe to drop Rice Balls upon defeat.

Summon[]
The foe can be captured to be used as a summon.
As a summon, it is among the strongest summons in the game in terms of power. While very expensive, it can deal a lot of damage to the robotic enemies in the Iron Fortress.
