Cat Toys

Cat Toys are the type of weapons used by NoLegs. They consist of a short melee weapon and an off-hand object carried like a shield - how NoLegs wields them without any visible arms or hands is best left unquestioned. Cat Toys are far more diverse than most of the other players' weapons (when compared to the running gag of non-sword and non-staff weapons for Matt and Natalie respectively), ranging from hammers, swords, and magic staves to books, sticks, and consumables. That said, almost all of the Cat Toys' weapons resemble a blade or are held like one.

Cat Toys usually boost both offensive stats; if the boosts favor one stat, several lean towards Attack (as per NoLegs's preferred offense), but a few emphasize Magic Attack instead. Many Cat Toys increase HP, Defence, and/or Magic Defence to bolster NoLegs's bulk; however, since his natural bulk is very low, his best defensive options tend to amplify his naturally high Evade instead.

All of the following stats given are for the fully upgraded (Level 5) versions of the Cat Toys. For stats for each level, view the toy's individual page.

Epic Battle Fantasy 5

There are 21 Cat Toys in total, 6 of which are currently exclusive to the paid Steam release of the game and the outdated free Battle Demo.

Unlike in Epic Battle Fantasy 4, paid equipment is scattered all around the list, but their slots will automatically be skipped on free versions of the game. The following table is based off the paid version; red cells indicate paid equipment and green cells indicate seasonal equipment that can only be obtained during certain months.

Trivia

• Most foot soldiers of the Kitten Army arm themselves similarly to NoLegs's Cat Toys; a weapon in one "hand", and a shield or other item in the other. Some of their possible gear are actually based on pieces of NoLegs's own equipment.
• Befitting his status as NoLegs's counterpart among the Evil Players, God wields the Star Hammer cat toy in battle.
• Since Cat Toys consist of two items (a weapon and a shield/offhand item), their names can specifically refer to one or the other - this is purely aesthetic, but still unique among player weapons.
  • Among the Cat Toys in EBF5, thirteen take their names from their offhand item while five are named after their weapon. The other three (Neon Lightbulb, Devil's Sunrise, and Pixel Popper) are more ambiguous.
