Death Metal is a shared Limit Break introduced in Epic Battle Fantasy 4, where it is available to Matt and Lance. It returns in Epic Battle Fantasy 5, where it can also be learned by NoLegs.
Description[]
When Death Metal is used, several black amplifiers and speakers drop from the sky and form a wall of sorts in front of the foes. They play a snippet of heavy metal/rock music at a very loud volume before exploding violently. This deals a large amount of accurate magical Wind damage to all enemies while healing the party; in EBF5, it also grants 5 turns of Morale to all living party members.
Death Metal is essentially the Limit Break version of Power Metal, being an effective means of damaging foes and healing the party simultaneously; however, 7th Heaven outdoes it as a support Limit Break. Its EBF5 version can be effective as a follow-up to 7th Heaven and Ragnarok; aside from a good amount of damage, this combination of Limit Breaks will leave the party fully healed while providing some insurance against losing the massive buffs to their offenses and defenses.
Epic Battle Fantasy 4[]
Death Metal is a reward for completing a quest given by Calum in Whitefall Town. Unlike most skills, it has no critical modifier, preventing it from scoring a critical hit unless the foes are suffering from Stagger.

Epic Battle Fantasy 5[]
Death Metal is obtained by completing Jessica's quest in Redpine Town's steroid shop. It's largely the same as its EBF4 version, but with lower AP costs per level and the added ability to grant Morale to the party. It also has a critical modifier like most other skills.
