The Dragon Wings is a fire-elemental staff available for Natalie in Epic Battle Fantasy 5.
Description[]
The Dragon Wings are a metallic red staff presumably made of Dragon Scales. The shaft is straight with a pointed pommel, while the head resembles a pair of leathery wings flanking a glowing orange crystal (presumably Amber, based off of its forging requirements). Each wing has a thin protrusion which trails down to the shaft in an intertwined spiral. There are also tiny spikes at either end of the shaft, just before the head and pommel.

The Dragon Wings grant an average boost to both offenses and minor boosts to both defenses, but they also have the third-best HP and the second-best Accuracy and Evade among staves. They empower Fire skills, can Burn foes with weapon-elemental attacks, and counter with Fireball, which benefits from the elemental boost and can also inflict Burn. They are also notable for their ability to summon an Omega Dragon, which can apply Magic Attack debuffs and powerful Holy damage with a small chance of Stun.
Compared to the Sol Spear, the Dragon Wings have lower offensive stats and a less useful on-hit effect, but compensate with a counterattack, a powerful auto-summon, and better durability (their HP and Evade boosts compensate for their slightly weaker defenses). Unfortunately, they both have a similar issue; struggling to stand out against the other options available for the party in general and Natalie in particular.
While decently powerful for their tankiness, the Dragon Wings' special effects are either underwhelming or horribly unreliable; they're also hampered by their late availability and the relatively mediocre power of Natalie's offensive spells compared to the likes of Lance. As a support staff, they're outclassed by the likes of the Kaladanda, the Beholding Eye, and the Obsidian Staff; the latter also has superior damage output in exchange for being much frailer.
The Dragon Wings resist Fire, Dark and Dispel, with only the Dispel resistance becoming an immunity at Level 5.
Equip Remix[]
With Equip Remix in effect, the Alt Dragon Wings go from being a mediocre jack-of-all-trades weapon to an average offensive staff with notable versatility. Harnessing the powers of dragons, they boost all of the classical elements: Fire, Earth, Water, and Wind. They also grant solid Magic Attack, average Attack, and a bit of Evade, and their weapon-elemental skills can inflict Light to power up subsequent Wind attacks.
While only one of the staff's elemental boosts is in Natalie's base skillset, the sheer variety of elements and its good offensive power allows the Alt Dragon Wings to work well in a variety of conditions. That said, they generally pale in comparison to the likes of the Alt Wrath of Zeus and the Alt Sol Spear, which offer significantly more magical power in exchange for various penalties that can be mitigated with the right build or party support. On the other hand, they can be decent support for other Wind-based weapons like the Alt Vortex Cannon or the Alt Emerald Cyclone.
Broadly speaking, the Alt Dragon Wings could be seen as another flavor of the Alt Dark Tooth, with decent offenses and several elemental boosts to give it better coverage. Much like the Alt Dark Tooth, they pair well with the Alt Red Dress; while only one element will be double-boosted, Natalie will be able to hit harder with no less than six different elements. Another option is the Alt Bubble Dress; it'll only add one element to Natalie's boosted offensive, but compensates with two double-boosted elements.
The Alt Dragon Wings resist Fire, Wind, Stagger and Confuse; they become immune to the latter two at Level 5.
Epic Battle Fantasy 5[]
The Dragon Wings are found inside a chest on a small island on the magma lake at the western end of the Crystal Caverns (where Vulcan is fought). The only way to reach the chest is to enter from a hidden entry point from the previous screen.

Trivia[]
- Aesthetically, the Dragon Wings resemble the Demon Tail from Epic Battle Fantasy 3; however, the staves have little in common beyond appearance.
- Much like the Dragon Claw sword in Epic Battle Fantasy 4, the Dragon Wings are named and designed after a common element of dragon anatomy that the EBF Dragons lack (as far as we know).
- The elements boosted by the Alt Dragon Wings correspond to the different species of Dragons in EBF5: the Earth Dragon (Earth, obviously), the Sea Dragon (Water), the Sky Dragon (Wind), and the Omega Dragon (Fire).
