The Dreamcatcher is a staff available for Natalie in Epic Battle Fantasy 3 and 4.
Description[]
The Dreamcatcher is a simple wooden staff based on the "Dreamcatcher", a protective charm used by some Native American cultures. It is made primarily of brown wood with tan bindings around the middle to act as a hand grip. It has two rings for a head, each carrying several crisscrossing threads and being adorned with two small white feathers. The larger ring serving as the "main" head also has colored beads on its strings, red and blue feathers along the outside, and a pair of wooden "horns" on top.
The Dreamcatcher is primarily associated with Syphon; not only does it make Natalie more resistant to the status effect, it usually has a means of letting her inflict it on her foes. It also has Dispel resistance and ways to lower enemy Magic Attack. In terms of its stats, it has below-average Magic Attack, but a combination of Accuracy, Evade, and MP boosts make it more effective in prolonged battles, especially against magic-focused foes.
Epic Battle Fantasy 3[]
The Dreamcatcher is a non-elemental staff with unimpressive Magic Attack (only the Sentinel and Demon Tail are weaker in this regard), but it also has a good MP bonus and minor Accuracy, Evade, and Magic Defence increases. Its main claim to fame is its ability to Syphon foes with weapon-elemental skills; in Natalie's case, that means her Normal Attack and Unleash. The latter skill has the added effect of debuffing the victim's Magic Attack by up to 50%, giving the Dreamcatcher a niche as a utility weapon that can cripple enemy spellcasting if it doesn't seal it away outright.
The Dreamcatcher resists Syphon and Dispel, becoming immune to the latter at Level 5.
Epic Battle Fantasy 4[]
The Dreamcatcher is a Holy-elemental weapon with nice boosts to Accuracy, Evade, and MP, but a low Magic Attack stat means that Natalie won't be doing much damage, even with the Holy spells boosted by the staff. However, it compensates for its lacking damage by casting Talisman Seal as both a counter and an auto-skill; while it's not very strong, it has a good chance to inflict Syphon and a Magic Attack debuff. Coupled with its ability to further debuff Magic Attack with its weapon-elemental skills, the Dreamcatcher can quickly render a foe's magical offensive nigh-impotent.
The Dreamcatcher has resistances to Curse, Syphon, and Dispel, becoming immune to all of them at Level 5.

The Dreamcatcher is found in Greenwood Village, at the bottom-right corner of the block puzzle screen. The chest containing it is blocked by boulders that must be smashed with The Hammer.
