The Epoch's metal shaft is made of three sections, with a tan grip positioned between two copper sections. The copper head resembles an old-fashioned alarm clock, with tan bells on top and two tan gears perched beneath it.
The Epoch is a bizarre weapon with mediocre Magic Attack and great HP, but no other stat boosts. Its weapon-elemental skills can drain HP and unleash Slow Down, allowing Natalie to heal herself while inflicting Stun and an Evade debuff at the same time. Unfortunately, this is an unreliable effect if using Spectrum, and Natalie's Normal Attack has half the power.
While the Epoch could be combined with a status-inflicting Flair to cause several status effects at once, it has a very niche use and is defensively outclassed by the Flower Pot and offensively outclassed by most other staves. Furthermore, Plasma Cage is a superior source of Stun that doesn't require a particular weapon and is much more reliable. Overall, the Epoch is an oddity of a weapon whose main niche is better filled with a skill, and which simply doesn't stand up to other staves otherwise.
The Epoch only resists Tired, which becomes an immunity at Level 5.
