The Explorer's Jacket is a male armor available in Epic Battle Fantasy 5. Its hat counterpart is the Spelunking Hat.
Description[]
The Explorer's Jacket is a brown leather vest worn over a long-sleeved white button-up shirt. If worn by Matt or Lance, it gains brown pants, black shoes, and two leather belts with golden buckles; a thick brown one across the chest and left shoulder, and a thin black one around the waist with a red-brown whip tied to the right side. NoLegs wears a simplified version of the vest and shirt with a thick brown belt around the collar.

The Explorer's Jacket offers solid Defence and Magic Defence, an improved chance of capturing foes, and a boost to Bio skills. However, it is most notable for its incredible Accuracy, which is double that of the Ninja Gear and higher than the sum total of all other male armor's Accuracy boosts.
Although Accuracy is rarely an issue in Epic Battle Fantasy 5, the Explorer's Jacket is an effective choice for situations where enemies are difficult to hit (such as Giant Enemies or a Cosmic Monolith). It also has some synergy with Matt, who has a strong natural Bio skill in Overgrowth and can equip Accuracy-lowering swords like the Berzerker (via auto-Tired) or the Giant Slayer along with the Death Mask. However, the Explorer's Jacket faces a lot of competition from the Scottish Kilt, which offers lesser (but still strong) Accuracy as well as a good Attack boost. For overleveled foes, the Ninja Gear is another competitor; it has high Accuracy and Evade to make it harder for said foes to hit the wearer in return.
The Explorer's Jacket resists Bio, Poison, Virus, Wet, and Dry. All but the first become an immunity at level 5.
Equip Remix[]
The Alt Explorer's Jacket has slightly mediocre Defence and Magic Defence, but makes up for it with the second-best Evade and Magic Attack boosts of any male armor in Equip Remix. It also empowers debuff skills, which benefits the Bind it can cast between turns.
Although it has noticeable similarities to the Alt Camo Jacket, the Alt Explorer's Jacket trades a bit of bulk, a third elemental resistance, and multiple support effects for Evade, Magic Attack, an auto-skill, and two status resistances. It's particularly useful for Lance, who has a wide selection of debuffs and a predominantly magic-based offensive skillset.
The Alt Explorer's Jacket is resistant to Earth, Bio, Weaken, and Tired. The latter two become an immunity at Level 5.

The Explorer's Jacket is found inside a chest at the end of the Frozen Valley, accessible after defeating Poseidon.
