The Fairy Bow is a Bio-elemental bow available for Anna in Epic Battle Fantasy 4 and 5.
Description[]
The Fairy Bow appears to have been made from a tree branch, with two twigs formed into spiky projections on the front and a few pieces of dark brown rope tied around its limbs. The grip appears to be the middle of the branch, stripped of its outer layers to make it easier to handle. Four green leaves are present on the bow; three on the lower edge and one on the upper edge. The arrows have twigs for shafts, two leaves for feathers, and grey heads.
In EBF5, the Fairy Bow has a bulkier design with more twigs and light brown rope on its limbs. It now has five green leaves - four on the upper edge and one on the lower edge - and a large silver blade is attached to the lower protrusion, presumably acting as a bayonet. The arrows are similar to their EBF4 incarnation, but with a more saturated color scheme.
The Fairy Bow is arguably Anna's signature weapon, being her default bow in both of her appearances so far. It generally empowers Bio skills, inflicts Poison with its weapon-elemental skills, and gives boosts to Magic Attack, Defence, and especially Attack. It's a serviceable weapon that complements Anna's base stats and abilities, but it tends to be outclassed once more specialized offensive or support bows become available.
Epic Battle Fantasy 4[]
The Fairy Bow gives average Attack and modest Magic Attack, as well as good Defence and Evade. It increases the power of Bio skills and gives Anna's weapon-elemental attacks a high chance of Poisoning foes; the latter can also cast Vines as a bonus skill for extra damage and Poison.
The Fairy Bow is a basic weapon that deals decent Bio damage; in the early game, its Vines unleash can be used to quickly rack up Poison on non-resistant foes. Its Burn vulnerability is largely irrelevant, even in Fire-heavy areas like most of Ashwood Forest; while it makes Anna more likely to suffer the status, it won't increase the Fire damage she takes each turn. It is interchangeable with most of Anna's bows for offensive purposes, but the Thorn Bow generally outclasses it once acquired (which is admittedly much later in the game). For support builds, Gaia's Bow is a great choice early on; as the game progresses, the Angel Wing and bows that counter with a weapon-elemental skill also surpass the Fairy Bow.
The Fairy Bow resists Bio and Poison, but is vulnerable to Burn. Its Poison resistance becomes an immunity at Level 5, and the Burn weakness remains constant no matter how much it has been upgraded.
Epic Battle Fantasy 5[]
Normal[]
The Fairy Bow has above-average Attack and Magic Attack, along with average Defence and a boost to Bio skills. It can Poison enemies and unleash Leaf Blade with its weapon-elemental skills; the latter only activates on single-target skills, but gives Anna another source of Bio damage to exploit. It also has a good chance to cast Lumber between turns, dealing physical Earth damage with a chance to Stagger the target.
While the Fairy Bow is decent on its own merits, it falls short in comparison to more specialized bows available later on. In particular, The Stinger completely outclasses it offensively, while the Alchemist's Bow is a superior debilitation option thanks to its status boost.
The Fairy Bow resists Bio, Water, and Earth, with none of these becoming an immunity at Level 5.
Equip Remix[]
The Alt Fairy Bow is an Earth-elemental weapon with excellent Attack, decent Magic Attack, mild Magic Defence, and slight HP and Evade bonuses. Its Earth boost benefits Anna's natural skills as well as its Big Root unleash, which deals solid damage and inflicts Poison on its target. This has some synergy with its Piercing Shot counterattack, along with the rest of Anna's single-target weapon-elemental skills.
The Alt Fairy Bow is a good choice for a day-to-day offensive Anna build if Alt Fenrir's Jaw is too risky, boasting a synergistic elemental boost, a good unleash, and the second-best Attack of any Alt bow. In a pinch, it does well when combined with the Alt Pet Rock; later in the game, the Alt Meow Meow Badge can make its unleash a little more consistent. It's less versatile than the Alt Angel Wing or Alt Gaia's Gift, but it also offers a little more longevity with its defensive stat boosts; it's also more physically powerful than Alt Gaia's Gift.
The Alt Fairy Bow resists Bio, Earth, Curse, and Bad Luck, becoming immune to the latter two at Level 5.

Trivia[]
