The Flower Pot is an Earth-elemental staff available for Natalie in Epic Battle Fantasy 4.
Description[]
The Flower Pot is mostly brown, appearing to be made of compacted soil. It has a slightly conical head (resembling dirt packed in a flower pot, hence the name) with a small flower growing out of the top. The flower has green leaves and a yellow head, with two shades of blue petals surrounding the latter. The flower's dark green roots protrude from the sides of the staff's head, with a few clods of earth clinging to them.
The Flower Pot is a stellar defense-oriented weapon; it has the second-best Magic Defence and the third-best Defence among staves, in addition to modest HP and MP bonuses. On the other hand, its Magic Attack is slightly below-average, and its Earth boost doesn't benefit Natalie's base kit; however, it still has usable damage output to go with its outstanding staying power. It also lacks the significant stat penalties of the Wrecking Rod or the Oak Staff, which are the only staves even bulkier than it.
In addition to its great bulk, the Flower Pot has a substantial proficiency in applying the Tired status. Its weapon-elemental attacks can inflict the status directly, but they also unleash Gaia Bloom to inflict another dose of Tired on top of dealing some extra damage. Additionally, the staff can randomly cast Gaia Bloom between turns, adding even more chances of inflicting Tired in addition to giving Natalie a means to passively utilize its elemental boost. The main benefit of Tired is its ability to wear down enemy Accuracy, making it far less likely for foes to hit the party; this also helps compensate for the Flower Pot's lack of an Evade bonus.
The Flower Pot resists Thunder, Earth and Tired, with the latter becoming an immunity at Level 5.
