Flowers are common foes in the Lankyroot Jungle area in [[Epic Battle Fantasy 4|EBF4]]. They are under the control of [[Rafflesia]], the boss of the area. They appear all over, and finally with the final boss.

Contrarily to other flowers which play support roles, Florn are focused on dealing damage. They use many powerful physical and Poison attacks that can inflict the Poison status, including a barrage of razor-sharp petals that hit all party members with a chance to Poison. When a Florn's HP is low (or sometimes if it has been alive for too long), it will detonate on one party member, sacrificing itself and dealing heavy damage. Weak to fire, ice and wind element. Absorbs water and poison element.

Stunflowers use Thunder attacks like Thunderbolt and Thunderstorm, release "Stun spores" which have a high chance to stun all party members, and charge up a powerful "Solar Beam" attack. They may stun party members. Stunflowers are weak to fire, ice, wind and poison, but absorb water and thunder.

===White Flower: Heasy===

Heasy is a healer and support unit which must be killed first. Heasy can heal all of their allies or Bless one of them, making it impossible to apply status conditions. They can use holy spells such as Shine to weaken party members. Heasies are weak to fire, dark, wind, ice and poison, but absorb holy and water.

===Blue Flower: Frose===

Frose use Water and Ice moves. They frequently cast Rain to wet everything on the battlefield. This reduces the effects of fire damage (which most plants are weak to) but also increases the effects of ice (which most plants are also weak to) and electric damage. It also sets the party up to suffer more damage from the Frose's Ice spells. Depending on your party's equipment, Frose can be a high or low priority. Fire-oriented groups should take them down early, but groups using more Ice abilities can leave them be. They are weak to thunder, wind and poison, but absorb ice and water.

Flowers are an enemy class in Epic Battle Fantasy 4 and 5.

Appearance

Flowers are large, colourful flowering plants spawned by Rafflesia. They all have a thick, segmented, green stem/vine with a single green leaf, several colorful petals, and a central stamen that seems to be used for their attacks or skills.

In EBF4, Flowers appear throughout Lankyroot Jungle, but the majority are encountered in the final section before the battle with Rafflesia (after the party leaves the Lava Cave). While initially absent in EBF5, the v2 update reintroduced Flowers as foes in the Data Bunker's first EBF4 simulation.

Overview

Flowers generally specialize in using status effects to debilitate the party and support the enemy wave, but they can also submerge into the ground to attack players with powerful bulb blasts. They lose access to most of their skills when afflicted with Syphon or Berserk, but many of them can still use a physical attack to defend themselves.

All Flowers are vulnerable to Wind and many are weak to Fire, but most absorb Water.

All Flowers were introduced in the v2 update as part of the EBF4 simulations in the Data Bunker.

Trivia

  • The Florn's petal attack is similar to the Pokémon move "Razor Leaf". The Stunflower's Solar Beam is also a Pokémon move, and the party will comment on it the first time they see the Stunflower charging up. Another one of the Stunflower's moves, Stun Spore, seems to also be a reference to the Pokémon move of the same name. Natalie comments on this the first time it is used.
  • All the Flowers' names are portmanteaus of two words, usually combining a flower-related word with a description of their appearance or powers.
    • Flower + Thorn = Florn
    • Sunflower + Stun = Stunflower
    • Heal + Daisy = Heasy
    • Freeze + Rose = Frose
    • Rainbow + Bloom = Rainbloom
