limit

Genesis is one of Natalie's limitbreaks in Epic Battle Fantasy 3. It has an all-battlefield effect that deals massive Holy damage to foes, and resurrects fallen allies, or buffs them with Autolife if they are alive.

Appearance

First a stylized, runed and winged white cross appears in the middle of the arena. Next the standard ground tearing image appears with a white background. The screen is whited out until you see a view of the entire planet. Lastly a simple winged crucifix appears in a blast of motes, feathers and shockwaves, blasting the surface of the planet with its base.

Stats

Genesis has a maximum power of 250, and casts 100% Holy damage. When unleashed, all foes take the hit unless it is evaded or absorbed. This spell does not harm allies. In addition it casts a buff, Autolife, that revives a fallen player with all stat buffs and positive status effects and lasts for five turns. This even occurs when the whole party has wiped and can be instumental in winning any fight. It's drawback is that it heals Holy elemental foes, but even then the buff makes healing opponents worthwhile.

Trivia

  • Invoking the power of Genesis will earn you the ´´Genesis´´ Medal.
  • This limit break will cast autolife on your party members for 5 turns, if it's been leveled up.
  • Natz says a line from the Animatrix when casting it for the first time.
  • The name and animation is a reference to Neon Genesis Evangelion.
