Matt and Lance wearing the Knight Armor in Epic Battle Fantasy 4
The Heroic Armor (previously known as the Knight Armor), is a male armor found in Epic Battle Fantasy 3, 4 and 5. Its hat counterpart is the Knight's Helmet, and its female counterparts are the Breastplate (EBF3 and 4) and the Obsidian Armor (EBF5).
Description[]
The Heroic Armor is a full-body suit of steel plate armor. In EBF3 and 4, it was uniformly silver, save for part of the boots, a dark red belt around the waist, and a red scarf around the neck (resembling that of the Captain's Coat minus the trailing end). In EBF5, it was redesigned to have black cloth sleeves and pants with metal cuffs, a cuirass made of overlapping metal plates (silver in the middle, black on the sides), and larger, rounder pauldrons. The shoulders, waist, and neck of the armor are lined with green fabric with white trim; the neck trim becomes a full cape for Matt and a neckerchief for NoLegs.
In all of its appearances, this armor is one of the bulkiest options for male characters; its Defence stat is especially impressive, but it tends to have solid HP and excellent Magic Defence to endure all kinds of damage. Unfortunately, it also weakens the wearer's Evade and saddles him with elemental weaknesses (always including Fire).
Epic Battle Fantasy 3[]
The Knight Armor has an outstanding Defence boost, being half again as strong as the next-best option (the Genji Armor). It's also tied with the Leather Armor and only surpassed by the Red Jacket for the best Magic Defence of any male armor, giving Matt or Lance significantly more endurance against all forms of attack. However, it also hampers the wearer's Accuracy and Evade (particularly the latter) and makes him vulnerable to two elements that become rather common in the later areas of the game. Although the weaknesses are very mild, they can still compromise the armor's bulk and make other options more attractive, particularly if they have additional effects.
The Knight Armor is mildly weak to Fire and Thunder. These weaknesses remain constant at all levels.
Epic Battle Fantasy 4[]
With unmatched HP and Defence backed by the best Magic Defence outside of Battle Mountain male armor, the Knight Armor makes its wearer incredibly durable. On the other hand, it severely lowers Evade and inflicts Tired on the wearer, making dodging comparatively difficult while also cutting into his Accuracy over time. This actually requires surprisingly little upkeep, but it may be a pain in terms of turn economy; regardless, the Golden Armor and arguably the Bone Armor are superior defensive options.
The Knight Armor is weak to Fire and Water. These weaknesses do not change at any forging level.

Epic Battle Fantasy 5[]
Normal[]
The Heroic Armor provides the best Magic Defence and especially Defence of any male armor, backed by a decent HP bonus and a fair chance to randomly give Defend between turns. While this comes at the cost of crippled Evade and two elemental weaknesses, it remains an incredible piece of defensive gear only surpassed by the Space Ace for non-Evade-based Target tanks. Its non-elemental boost is negligible, especially since the best player to exploit it (NoLegs) really hates having his Evade lowered.
The Heroic Armor is weak to Fire and Water, with the weaknesses remaining constant at all forging levels. On the other hand, it resists Thunder, up to 50% at Level 5.
Equip Remix[]
The Alt Heroic Armor has godly defenses and impressive HP, but comes with a severe Evade penalty and a significant chance to make its wearer Tired. It also can buff Defence when its wearer Defends himself, making him even more durable against physical attacks.
Despite the changes to its stats and effects, the Alt Heroic Armor has similar applications to its normal counterpart: it's a great defensive armor for Matt and Lance, neither of whom has the base Evade to particularly mind its main penalties. However, its improved Magic Defence and auto-Tired effect makes it more suited for a purely defensive/support build than the regular version. Additionally, it still has good potential for a Target tank build, since the constant defending will activate its buff; when paired with a source of Morale, the wearer can soak up physical punishment all day without compromising his magic bulk like Invisible status would.
Like its normal counterpart, the Alt Heroic Armor is weak to Fire and Water, but resists Thunder. Its weaknesses do not change as it is forged, but it becomes fully immune to Thunder at Level 5.
Epic Battle Fantasy 3[]
The Knight Armor is found in the northern end of the network of caves in Rock Lake. The chest containing it can be accessed from the northern piers; defeat the battle that appears as an Eyeball, then follow the path south and east.
