The Hipster Shirt is a male armor available in Epic Battle Fantasy 5. It has no hat counterpart.
Description[]
The Hipster Shirt is a red shirt covered in crisscrossing dark red lines to create a diamond pattern. It also comes with a white jacket with a brown zigzag around the breast and the sleeves, as well as blue jeans and brown shoes if worn by Matt or Lance.
Normal[]
The Hipster Shirt gives a below-average boost to Defence and Magic Defence, but it also has small HP and Evade bonuses. It is noteworthy for improving buffs from both skills and items; while this may seem somewhat redundant, the latter lets the wearer buff Attack and Magic Attack to the same degree as Temper and Star Power, respectively. It also improves healing items, which is generally less important; however, it can be used to support the party if their healing skills are on cooldown or blocked by status effects.
If considering the Hipster Shirt for a buffing build, it may be worth using the Flame Suit instead to allow the player to more reliably inflict statuses during the turns between buffs; it also has the advantages of an elemental immunity and slightly stronger defenses. On the other hand, the Hipster Shirt offers HP, Evade, and Food boosts along with more useful status resistances; in particular, NoLegs appreciates the Evade and can stack its effects with those of the Dog Sausage in his buff build.
The Hipster Shirt grants resistances to Water, Stun, Death and Doom. All but the first become an immunity at Level 5.
Equip Remix[]
The Alt Hipster Shirt has underwhelming Defence and Magic Defence; it's only ahead of the Alt Ninja Gear in these regards. However, it also has decent boosts to Evade, Attack, and Magic Attack, in addition to empowering three types of skill: non-elemental, Holy, and buffs.
The Alt Hipster Shirt is arguably the best armor for a NoLegs buff build; it has the best Evade of buff-boosting male armor, and he has natural skills to exploit its elemental boosts. Pairing it with the Alt Elven Shield in particular gives him double-boosted buffs and Holy attacks, potentially enabling an offensive support role. On the other hand, Matt and Lance will usually prefer the likes of the Alt Santa Outfit, the Alt Camo Jacket, or the Alt Priest's Tunic for their support builds; they have superior bulk and Equipment Effects that they can take better advantage of.
The Alt Hipster Shirt resists Bomb, Bad Luck, Curse, Death and Doom, becoming immune to all but Bomb at Level 5.
Epic Battle Fantasy 5[]
The Hipster Shirt is found inside a chest on the left-hand side of the 20 Medals Room in the Grand Gallery. The chest is accessible from the upper hall and is guarded by Dolls.

- The Hipster Shirt can be considered the successor of the Casual Shirt from Epic Battle Fantasy 3 and 4, being a set of relatively ordinary clothes with unimpressive defenses and a Food-boosting effect. In this vein, it can also be considered the male counterpart of the Casual Skirt in EBF5.
