The Ice Shards are, true to its name, a pair of dark blue ice fragments, styling a part of the wearer's hair into braids.
The Ice Shards are almost identical statwise in each game. It grants a moderate boost for both Defence and Magic Defence, as well as somewhat raising Evade. In EBF3 only the Ice Shards boost the power of the thrown Ice Crystal attack, taking the form of Ice Spike. Of course, as Ice Spike is physical, even with this boost Natalie is better of using Iceshard, or if Instant Death was what the player wanted they can use the Death Bringer's Unleash. In EBF5 it can randomly summon Avalanche between turns, which deals physical Ice-elemental damage with a chance to inflict Weaken.
It resists Ice in all of its appearances. In EBF4 it also resists Wind. Instead of Wind in EBF5 it resists Fire, Chill and Freeze.
Found inside a chest in the Frozen Valley. Because there is a layer of slippery ice on the way to reach the chest, it is only possible to reach it by entering from the right side of the screen or later with the help of the Spiked Boots.
