Life Drain
"I can attack and heal at the same time!"
―Matt, Epic Battle Fantasy 4

Life Drain, or simply Drain, is a skill available for Matt throughout the Epic Battle Fantasy series. It appeared in each of the first four main games.

Description

Upon casting Matt will stab a target with his sword in order to steal some of the target's life force and regain his own. It is a relatively weak skill, but it allows Matt to replenish HP, making it one of his few healing skills.

Equipping the Blood Blade usually boosts the power of Drain.

Note that while Purple Squid has a skill with the same name and similar function, it is a distinct ability.

Epic Battle Fantasy

It costs 22 MP to use. This skill is the strongest with the Blood Blade or Soul Eater swords equipped.

Epic Battle Fantasy 2

It costs 30 MP to use, has 120 accuracy and 35 power. This skill is the strongest with the Blood Blade sword equipped.

One Skill Bonus is available to improve Drain:

  • Bloodthirsty - Boosts the power of Drain by 50%

Epic Battle Fantasy 3
