The Life Shaver is a non-elemental sword available for Matt in Epic Battle Fantasy 3.
Description[]
The Life Shaver is entirely made out of jagged white bones; judging by the curved spikes and segmentation by the crossguard, its blade is carved out of a spine.
The Life Shaver has mediocre offenses and no other stats. It empowers Matt's Dark skills, but this is negligibly useful, as neither Fright nor Screamer have much power to begin with. It also enhances The Dead cast by the Green Potion, making it a significantly stronger option than Nettle; however, the latter's better Poison chance and a relative lack of Poison-weak foes in the final areas means that Matt may still find Nettle more useful than The Dead.
The Life Shaver's best asset is its chance of applying Doom with weapon-elemental skills; this lets it work around its low damage output by putting vulnerable foes on a Instant Death timer. If the on-hit Doom isn't working, its Unleash can apply Instant Death with an even higher success rate; however, this also applies a serious debuff to both of Matt's defenses, so Guardian support is recommended.
At all forging levels, the Life Shaver makes Matt slightly weak to Holy, though this is a minor issue given that it is acquired in the Dark-laden endgame.
Epic Battle Fantasy 3[]
The Life Shaver is found in Volcano Peak, in a chest on the screen with the giant skeleton and a Cosmic Monolith blocking the path forward. The chest is inside the cave accessible from the south and is guarded by a battle that appears as a Skull Ghost.
