There are several foes in the Epic Battle Fantasy series with the same theme: a big robot or golem (typically a boss or an elite foe, though there are some foes who are giant plants or monoliths) tasked with guarding its position (mobile or otherwise). They are often confused, thanks to their somewhat similar names. This page is to help distinguish them.
These "guarding foes" should not be confused with other foes who are specifically placed to block the players' progress or prevent them from reaching a chest.
