  • So uh, this seems kinda small, but I just realized that your user name is Sliver instead of Silver. So I've been calling you the wrong name for a long time now. RIP.

On another note, I seem to be really messing up on my recent edits to the Wiki. I've been trying to edit the strategy portions for the bosses of ebf4/5, especially the ones without a strategy yet. however, I don't think I'm doing a great job? I should probably stick to just editing visual appearances or trivia.

    • Trust me, you're not the first one to get that mixed up, nor will you likely be the last. Don't worry about it - I'm pretty used to it either way. (And apparently so used to it that I didn't even notice you calling me "SilverEmperor" until you mentioned it - curse you, mental AutoCorrect!)

As for the strategy thing, I wouldn't be too worried. Every little bit helps - worst-case scenario, it inspires others to post their strategies or add on to whatever you added. Don't give up - you'll get better with time and practice!

  • Hi, I'm Nabbit12 and I'm the person who has been rapidly editing the EBF5 articles recently. I like the EBF series as a whole, although I like playing EBF5 in particular. I have played EBF3 and 4 in the past, but I am less experienced with those games.

I've noticed that the wiki has really made a lot of progress recently and I've also noticed you frequently helping me on the pages I created and such. I guess what I'm trying to say is Thank you. I know I haven't been around as long, nor am I as experienced as some of the other players on here, but I hope I contribute something at least.

    • Hi Nabbit! I've noticed that you're pretty active around here, and I assure you that I'm very appreciative about your contributions. There's a lot to add, update, and otherwise clean up on the wiki, so anything you do in that regard is definitely helpful!

I'm in the same boat as you regarding EBF - big fan of the series, but mostly EBF5. (I've beaten EBF2 and 3 in the past, almost beat EBF4, and completed Adventure Story - haven't touched Brawl Royale, the original EBF, or either Bullet Heaven). I don't suppose you're any better at top-down bullet hell shooter games than I am, perchance? I feel like we need to add a lot more information about the playable characters and basic foes in the Bullet Heaven series, but I'm always too busy freaking out and dodging the UNGODLY AMOUNTS OF PAIN to pay attention to those details when I'm playing.

        Loading editor
    • Oh man, I don't know nothing about the Bullet Heaven series...

Also I got the 10 million damage medal yesterday at level...38. yay

  • Hello, do you have a Discord? I would like you to join the relevant EBF discord so you don't have to ask questions on the comment threads

Look at Matt's blog for the EBF discord and then I can send you a link to the wiki one.

  • Hello, it's good to see you here again! While I appreciate your recent works, I do want to point out that we're trying to switch to a different mode of formatting the equipment overviews.

The idea here is to have it be: [Visual descriptions, notes of it changing between games]

    {[Subheading for the game]

    [Analysis of the equip in that game]}

With Equip Remix being treated as a new game and having each analysis just evaluating the equipment within that one game, instead of across multiple. As it stands, the old method leads to a very confusing and easily misleading glob of text that is riddled with "but not in [game].". Hopefully, the new formatting will let people go down to the game they want to look at and get all the info they need for that game. I'm also not listing differences that are level-to-level for the sake of brevity, though that's more minor. See Fenrir's Jaw as an example.

      Loading editor
    • Ah, on top of that:

Please treat each game as being distinct from the others. As in, don't say "has decreased since its Epic Battle Fantasy 3 appearance", but just "has above average boosts to both offenses" and have everything be relative to other equipment from that game. Write each analysis as if it was the only game that the weapon featured in as opposed to trying to tie them all together. It turns out that makes it a bit messy. Making note of something drastically changing roles from one game to another is fine of course.

    • Noted! Keeping track of all that is going to be tricky, but I'll do my best to follow these guidelines. Cross your fingers...and thanks for the heads-up!

    • No problem!

Your edits have been looking good for the most part, I'm just trying to make sure the wiki as a whole is using the same style (and one better than what we were using before).

  • Hello there. I see that you finally got the "Wiki Hero!" badge for daily edits, congratulation!

Though, my question is, do you still plan on contributing to this Wikia, or was this badge basically the only thing holding you here? (I am asking out of pure curiosity.)

      Loading editor
    • First of all, thank you for the praise! Lord knows getting a year's worth of daily edits ain't easy...

Secondly, no, I'm not abandoning the wiki. I'll keep trying to contribute where I can, although I feel like you and InsertYourNameHere eclipse me in that regard. Particularly since someone deleted the budding page on the Battle Mountain Foe Rush - I mean, I can see why, but I figured that a step-by-step strategy might be helpful for aspiring Medal hunters.

Thirdly, I JUST realized that the Wiki Hero Badge has a W in the middle of the diamond. Sweet crepes, I'm oblivious...

        Loading editor
    • Oh, that is cool. I guess the later part may be kind of true, especially since sometimes your edits seemed like if you just wanted to get the day done, without really caring about the quality of it. But don't be discouraged. Because you are no longer "bound by time", rather than forcing yourself to make edit daily, you might as well try gathering some energy and thoughts for a while and then proceed with edit.

As for the Foe Rush page, I am not quite sure what you mean? If you are talking about the "Foe Rush (EBF4)" page, then it is still intact, nobody removed it (although I am going to rename it soon :P).

BTW, I am a bit confused on your recent edit on "Star Hairclip" page, what is that line supposed to mean - "Contrary to its name, it appears to be a pair of star clips."? Oh, and also, DefenCe!

Going back to the topic of contributing. If you do not have an idea what to edit, then firstly, I may recommend aforementioned Foe Rush page. If you are looking for other propositions, I will try to come on with something soon. If you have some thoughts and ideas to share, just leave me a message, or actually, better post them on our forum, maybe that will attract some user's attention.

About the badge's design, it took me few months to notice your nick is "Sliver" rather than "Silver" so...

  • Do not use number (like skill elements), or skill requirements in the description; I have discussed on the chat, and we agreed that we have the table already. I cleaned up your work on the Sand Dune page.

      Loading editor
    • Right, right, sorry. I both forgot we discussed that and assumed that putting in aspects of the stats in the description would be helpful reiteration for others about the skills. My bad!

  • ...Aaaand my triumph over finally getting "A Wiki Life" has lasted for about 10 seconds.

    Why, you ask?

Well, turns out there's ANOTHER badge for daily edits; and this one's gonna take another 165 days (at best)! Hoo boy...this is gonna be interesting.

    • I see that you lack "inspiration" for some descriptions as there is no picture for them that you may look at. Here is an useful link to Kupo Games' DeviantArt: [1] (check out also the previous page)

Thanks for writing those, I kind of lack "dictionary" to do it so effectively.

  • Alright, the devil is going on here? I'm only 12 edits away from getting "A Wiki Life", but the dang server isn't registering my daily edit - it just says something about "Error 111" and "Connection rejected". Any ideas on what this means - and more importantly, how to fix it before I lose all my progress (again)?

      Loading editor
    • I can normally see that you have made 2 edits today (and this post also counts as a contribution which makes 3). Where it says this "Error 111" and "Connection Rejected"? Try reloging into the wikia, maybe it is just a graphical bug for you or something like that.

    • Hm...interesting. It seems to have counted after I posted this topic. Must've been something on the server/site.

Well, I just hope it doesn't happen again...at least not for the next two weeks. If I lose my progress on this blasted badge now, my wrath will be best described as "Supernova off of a Level 50 Natz w/ Flameheart and max Magic Attack buffs on a Level 1 Wooden Idol w/ max Magic Defence debuffs."

  • It's a sad thing that our admin is gone. I'll talk about that later, but not now. I'll be bothering you from now on. Anyway, I'm starting a new ebf3 playthrough. I'm doing this to fill up the wiki, and here's what I am doing:

    • I'm taking images to make a complete map, chest info and quests included. I still don't know how we can do this without the Map extension.
    • Filling up foe entries.
    • I'm thinking about making user-made walkthrough. That way, we can create more in depth guides and show our preference better.

Tell me if I forgot something

      Loading editor
    • Hmm...It won't be as pretty as the Map extension, but you could just take screenshots of each screen as you enter for now. If you do it right as the screens transition, the party will be barely visible - it's not perfect, but it's a start, right?

And I like the idea of user-made walkthroughs. Although to be honest, my strategies tend to be "target one enemy", "exploit weaknesses", "keep buffs up", and "pray to the Random Number Gods", so I dunno how effective a strategy I could make for a full game.

I could definitely make a Tips page, though.

        Loading editor
    • Oh heck, it is nearly 3 weeks since I have done something here, well... it is kinda hard to explain so I would rather not go into details. Now I should just make a list of all things to be done and slap it onto the middle of my screen and try to make up for it.

Anyway, to the topic, I do have a "new game+" save for EBF3, and I have a full list of all chest items found in this game in a notepad file. So at least that part should be out of your shoulders.

For the complete map, currently the only page that has anything close to the is The Town's page, is that the thing you are looking for? (note how sneaky positions I managed to find to make the party barely visible or not visible at all)
