The Mystic Breeze is a Wind-elemental staff available for Natalie in Epic Battle Fantasy 4.
Description[]
The Mystic Breeze is an ivory-colored staff with a very abstract design. Apart from the grip, most of its length consists of dramatic arches with irregular protrusions. The head features three purple gems within its curves, each with a faint swirling design reminiscent of a whirlwind.
The Mystic Breeze gives a gargantuan boost to MP (the highest among staves), a good boost to HP and a subpar Magic Attack bonus. It is noteworthy for effectively giving Natalie infinite MP; not only does it have a massive MP bonus, it also drains MP with weapon-elemental skills. These skills can also inflict Syphon and unleash Whirlwind with decent frequency; the former locks most foes out of their special abilities, while the latter deals a moderate amount of magical Wind damage while potentially debuffing Magic Defence.
While the Mystic Breeze is most notable for its MP efficiency, it is one of the few weapons to boast the ability to Syphon foes. While the chance is not guaranteed, it can be used to take down certain foes that rely strictly on their non-Syphoned moveset. However, the Syphon skill is more effective at inflicting the status and hits multiple foes, meaning that the Mystic Breeze is quite outclassed in Syphoning. Additionally, despite Whirlwind mitigating its low Magic Attack stat and giving Natalie an option to make use of its Wind boost outside of shared skills, its offensive output still falls short of many other staves; as such, it's best used as part of a utility build to ensure that Natalie never, ever needs to worry about running out of MP.
The Mystic Breeze resists Wind and Syphon, becoming immune to the latter at Level 5.
