- "Ugh, who would go through the trouble of making such a doll? Why does it have panties and breasts?!?!"
- ―Natalie, disgusted by the appearance of her Doll likeness (If "mature" is on)
The Natalie Doll is a foe and a summon in Epic Battle Fantasy 5. It typically appears in haunted areas like the Mystic Woods, Redpine Town and The Rapture.
Appearance[]
The Natalie Doll is a small, taupe-colored voodoo doll meant to resemble Natalie. It has patchy red hair, green button eyes, and stiches on the left side of its body. A long pin with a shiny red head is embedded into its right hand, imitating one of Natalie's staves.
The Natalie Doll has small lumps on its chest meant to resemble breasts and also wears pink and white striped panties; these are not present when "Mature" is turned off. If the option is active, Natalie will comment on these design choices when she encounters a Natalie Doll for the first time.
Overview[]
Like other Dolls, hitting this foe will result in the corresponding player taking damage equal to a % of their max HP proportional to how much of the Doll's max HP was lost to the attack (this takes into account overkill damage), even if they are in backup; Instant Death will also trigger this effect, as it's essentially an attack that deals damage equal to 100% of their HP. Healing the Doll will also in turn heal the corresponding player (this only happens if the Doll isn't at full HP). Damage/healing isn't affected by Invisible/Enchanted, but will be halved by Defend (except when Doom kills the Doll). This passive ability can be blocked by Syphoning the foe.
Despite being based on the party's resident mage, the Natalie Doll has below-average Magic Attack; nevertheless, it prefers to use spells in battle. It can cast single-target Fire, Ice, and Thunder magic to damage players; these spells can Burn, Freeze, and Stun their targets, but the infliction chances are negligibly low. It also knows Heal, allowing it to keep its allies' HP high; it will specifically target the most damaged foe to get the maximum benefit from the spell. On higher difficulty levels, it will instead use Heal More to heal the entire wave at once.
Like all Dolls, the Natalie Doll is crippled by Syphon, which shuts down its Sympathy ability and forces it to use a weak non-elemental physical attack - it'll go Berserk on higher difficulties, but this won't help much. Berserk alone prevents it from healing foes, but it powers up its elemental magic and doesn't disable Sympathy. If Syphon is not available, then the player should take caution when dealing with the Natalie Doll; dealing too much damage can kill Natalie herself. One can try counteracting the Sympathy with Morale and Auto-Revive, or hitting the Doll with weak magic attacks to exploit its better defensive stat; if Syphoned, physical attacks are advisable to do maximum damage against its weak Defence.
The Natalie Doll absorbs Dark, but is weak to Fire and especially Holy. However, it may be safer to kill a low-health Natalie Doll with a neutral attack so as to prevent accidentally killing Natalie. It has no status resistances or weaknesses. When "More Foe Resistance" is active, it is massively weak to Ice and Thunder, but immune to all other elements (except Dark, which it still absorbs) and resistant to Syphon

Battle Logic[]
The following describes general logic of the enemy and attack patterns, with chances of each attack to be used. Conditions are listed from highest to lowest priority unless specified otherwise.
Action
- If catchscore >55 and all players are Lovable → Surrender;
- If Berserked but not Syphoned → Fireball (1/3), Iceshard (1/3), Thunderbolt (1/3);
- If Syphoned → Head Bash;
- Otherwise → Fireball (4/15), Iceshard (4/15), Thunderbolt (4/15);
- If playing on Hard/Epic → Healmore (1/5).
- Otherwise → Heal (1/5).
* Heal will always target the most damaged foe.
Additionally, on Hard or Epic difficulties, if the Natalie Doll is Syphoned at the start of its turn, it'll automatically inflict 1x Berserk on themselves (this doesn't take up their action).
Summon[]
The Natalie Doll can be captured and used as a summon. It gives the targeted player three stacks of Morale and a huge Magic Attack buff. The latter is stronger than Star Power with one buff boost, but Natalie can provide an even stronger buff if she has two or three pieces of buff-boosting equipment.
