NoLegs is the first player character to be fought in Epic Battle Fantasy 5. He's found in Hope Harbor east of Matt's house. After NoLegs is fought, he will join Matt in his quest to find a shovel.
Appearance
NoLegs takes the form of... well, NoLegs. He is a blue limbless cat with beady blue eyes. NoLegs dons the Knight's Helmet, Steel Buckler and Heroic Armor. Before engaging in combat, NoLegs will hide behind a rock and occasionally peek out.

Battle logic
The following describes general logic of the enemy and attack patterns, with chances of each attack to be used. Conditions are listed from highest to lowest priority unless specified otherwise.
- Every 3rd turn → Defend;
- Otherwise → Backstab (1/2), Swordplay (1/2).
Strategy
If you hit NoLegs with a Water attack, he'll surrender automatically. Doing so without knocking out NoLegs gives you the "Cat Person" medal.
It is recommended that you use the Water Slime summon (obtainable in the previous battle) instead of Geyser, as it is guaranteed to hit NoLegs and will not defeat him.
If the player wishes to defeat NoLegs without triggering a surrender, they will have to defeat him without any Water attacks. While the battle itself is quite easy regardless, the lack of using Water skills may stretch out the battle a little.
Trivia
- NoLegs's resistances correspond to the Knight's Helmet, with a Water and Fire weakness but resistance to Thunder.
- As with all of the player fights, looking at NoLegs in the bestiary will show whatever equipment he currently has instead of what he wore during the fight.
