The Officer's Hat, previously known as Officer Hat is a male hat available in Epic Battle Fantasy 3, 4 and 5. Its armor counterpart is the Officer's Coat.
Description[]
The Officer's Hat is a black hat of the style typically worn by certain military officers. The hat is decorated with several grey details, most notably a skull on the front; these details became white in EBF5. It is strongly associated with Lance, being his default headgear in all of his appearances besides EBF3.
The Officer's Hat generally has a balanced stat spread that increases both offenses and defenses, along with a Dark resistance and the ability to call in backup from Lance's tank, dealing Bomb damage between turns. Unfortunately, it's usually outclassed by more specialized hats.
Epic Battle Fantasy 3[]
The Officer Hat offers modest boosts to Defence, Magic Defence, and Magic Attack, as well as a small boost to Attack and Accuracy; it's slightly notable as the only male hat to boost both offensive stats at once. Its Tank auto-skill isn't particularly notable, but its elemental resistance is useful for the final stages of the game. However, it faces competition from the more powerful Mage Hat and the auto-Medipack of the Army Helmet.
The Officer's Hat somewhat resists Dark, up to 30% at Level 5.
Epic Battle Fantasy 4[]
The Officer's Hat boosts Defence, Magic Defence, Attack, and Magic Attack by slight amounts, and it occasionally casts Tank Cannon between turns. This skill gets the same boost from Ninja Gear that a Hand Bomb does, meaning the Officer's Hat may be useful in a Hand Bomb build to occasionally get a bonus Hand Bomb. Outside of this, it's significantly outclassed by the likes of the Headband, the Demon Skull, and the Dragon Helm.
The Officer's Hat resists Dark, Doom and Instant Death, becoming immune to all but Dark at maximum level.
Epic Battle Fantasy 5[]

The Officer's Hat is an offense-oriented hat that slightly boosts Defence and Magic Defence while granting good Attack and Magic Attack. It can fire a Tank Cannon between turns, effectively casting Big Blast, but otherwise has no overly notable features and is overall outclassed by other headgear, such as the Cardboard Box or the Necromancer's Helmet.
The Officer's Hat resists Dark, Fire, and Thunder, becoming immune to none of them at Level 5.
Equip Remix[]
The Alt Officer's Hat has decent offenses and slightly boosts both defenses, Accuracy and Evade. Between turns, it can make the wearer Brave and summon a Lance Doll to hit all foes with magical Bomb damage, but neither effect is especially significant. It is largely outclassed by other equipment like the Alt Necromancer's Helmet.
The Alt Officer's Hat resists Bomb, Dry, Wet, Bad Luck, and Curse, becoming immune to all but the first at Level 5.
Epic Battle Fantasy 3[]
The Officer Hat is found in Volcano Peak, behind the gate which requires 4 Crimson Orbs from the Kitten Kingdom Ruins to open.

- In EBF4, the Officer's Hat is the only piece of equipment whose automatic skill can be boosted by equipment that boost the power of thrown items, such as the Ninja Gear.
- Lance wears the Officer's Hat when he appears as a boss in Epic Battle Fantasy 2 and Adventure Story. This is purely cosmetic and has no effect on gameplay.
