The Pocket Watch, also known as the Pocket Clock in EBF4, is a Flair available in Epic Battle Fantasy 4 and 5.

Description

The Pocket Watch is a small silver analog pocket watch; in EBF4, it was red with a pinkish face and lacked the ring on top. Like most Flairs, it is worn on the chest of male characters and the skirt of female characters (unless it is in the third flair slot for the latter, in which case it is worn in the hair).

Epic Battle Fantasy 4

The Pocket Clock has a chance to randomly cast Slow Down on each turn, allowing it to nullify a single foe's Evade while having a good chance of inflicting Stun. While certainly useful, more reliable Flairs will be acquired later on, relegating the Pocket Clock to a "filler" Flair to be used when nothing else is available.

The Pocket Clock is slightly resistant to Stun, maxing out at 30% resistance when fully forged.

Epic Battle Fantasy 5

The Pocket Watch occasionally gives the Haste status to its wearer; while certainly useful, the chance is low enough to leave it outclassed by more consistent Flairs that become available later in the game. However, the Pocket Watch shines in scenarios where the party size is limited (especially a 1P Custom Game or the Battle Arena challenges), since the extra turn opens up strategies that simply wouldn't be possible otherwise. It also has some synergy with Lance's Hyper Beam, helping mitigate the Charge turn.

The Pocket Watch grants Stun resistance, although this doesn't become an immunity at Level 3. In the Equip Remix, it resists Dispel instead.

Epic Battle Fantasy 4

Can be obtained as a quest reward from Moe in Greenwood Village's food shop.

It can be bought for 1000 gold in any equipment shop, e.g. Hope Harbor, Greenwood Village or Redpine Town.
