Purify is a healing skill available for Natalie in first three games of the series and for everyone but Lance in Epic Battle Fantasy 4 and Epic Battle Fantasy 5.
Description[]
When cast, a golden sigil resembling a square cross lined with runes and surrounded by small wings appears in front of the caster's team, removing all negative status effects (except for Freeze) from themselves and their allies.
Purify is the player's go-to option for status curing, with its main advantage being its ability to affect the entire party at once (as opposed to status-curing Items, which are usually single-target). In EBF5, it can also be cast on enemies to remove negative statuses from them (which can be helpful in removing statuses like Poison or Burn from foes that absorb Bio/Fire, or to prevent a Virus outbreak).
Epic Battle Fantasy[]
Purify is one of the skills under Natalie's "White Magic" category. Unlike the subsequent games, it only cures a single ally of status effects; as of this game, this constitutes Poison and Seal. It can be cast even if Natalie is Sealed.

Epic Battle Fantasy 2[]
Purify's cost was doubled from 5 to 10 MP, but it affects both party members at once and has a few more ailments that it can cure (namely Stun and Blind). It can still be cast even if Natalie is Sealed.

Epic Battle Fantasy 4[]
Purify's MP cost increased significantly, and it became a Special Skill that can be learned by Matt or Anna in addition to Natalie. It becomes available when Natalie joins the party in Ashwood Forest.

Epic Battle Fantasy 5[]
Purify is obtained as a reward for completing Bessie's quest in the Wild Tropics, one screen above Jerry's house. It can now be learned by NoLegs in addition to the characters who could learn it in EBF4, and its MP cost has been replaced by a 2-turn cooldown.
