Ruby is a recurring crafting item in the Epic Battle Fantasy series, introduced in Epic Battle Fantasy 3. It is a red-colored gemstone used for forging mostly Fire-related or red-colored equipment on their higher levels.
In EBF3, Rubies are sold at The Town's Misc Shop for 9,990 gold after they have been obtained through other means (such as being found in a treasure chest or being dropped by a foe). 59 were needed to upgrade everything prior to the 2016 update; afterwards, the Heaven's Gate required one for its fourth upgrade, bringing the total number to 60.
In EBF4, the Ruby can be bought at Goldenbrick Resort's Material Shop for 8,000 gold. 62 will be needed to upgrade the relevant equipment.
In EBF5, the Ruby is a brighter shade of red and more pointed in shape. It can be bought in Greenwood Village, Mystic Woods, The Great Sea, and Redpine Town for 6,600 gold; 42 are required for all of the relevant upgrades.
