The Rune Blade is a recurring Holy-element weapon in the Epic Battle Fantasy series. So far, it has been used by Matt in all four main games.
Description
The Rune Blade is a white and black long sword with a slimmer design than the Heaven's Gate, Matt's other holy-element weapon.
Unlike most of Matt's other weapons, the Rune Blade gives him a massive boost to his lackluster Magic Attack, while giving him little bonus in Attack. It also increases his resistance to Syphon and Dispel, and can drain MP with several physical attacks. Mana can be easily be replenished in all games, and Matt's Magic Attack will always be inferior to other characters', so this sword's potential in battle is rather dubious.
