The Sacred Rune is a foe in Epic Battle Fantasy 4. It appears primarily in Graybone Cemetery and Temple of Godcat. It is a member of the Rune enemy class.

Appearance

Much like the Runes of EBF3, the Sacred Rune is comprised of a grey floating sphere and disk; the latter also has Paper Talismans attached to it. From the bottom of the disk, a second smaller sphere with a tiny spike sticks out.

Overview

Sacred Runes are low tier foes that are still capable of inflicting annoying statuses and can perform a strong suicide attack. The Sacred Rune is capable of inflicting Syphon and Magic Attack debuffs on the players; on the other hand, their suicide attack can Dispel as well as debuffing Magic Defence. Fortunately, the Sacred Rune is very fragile and is little threat on its own.

The Sacred Rune absorbs Holy; however, they have several weaknesses and can be easily taken out with Air Strike or Pulsar. While the player generally will not want to leave them at low health, simply inflicting Syphon on the lot will stop their even vaguely dangerous attacks.
