Sand Dune

Sand Dune is an advanced Earth-elemental special skill available for Matt, Lance, and Anna in Epic Battle Fantasy 4. In Epic Battle Fantasy 5 it became a shared skill after the v2 update, being learnable by everyone but Natalie.

Description[]

When cast, a geyser of sand resembling a brownish version of Flood erupts from beneath the target, dealing high Earth damage with a chance to debuff the target's Accuracy.

In EBF4, Sand Dune is best used for its Accuracy debuff, as its damage is outclassed by both Lumber and Cataclysm. Using it offensively on Lance is generally subpar.

In EBF5, Sand Dune's utility has been increased, being able to inflict Dry on top of the Accuracy debuff. It's also strong enough to be coverage for Lance or NoLegs; Matt and Anna still prefer their natural Earth skills for damage purposes.

Note: In non-Steam versions of the game, the skill has no debuff strength specified for level 5, thus loses the debuff effect when maxed. The issue was fixed for the Steam version January 3, 2016.
