Sharanga is a non-elemental bow available for Anna in Epic Battle Fantasy 5.
Description[]
Sharanga is a high-tech bow made out of a mysterious black material with slightly luminescent blue-green markings and thin strips of dark blue metal lacing through its limbs. Its arrows are made entirely of energy colored the same shade of blue-green as its markings.
If Anna equips Sharanga while wearing the Red Dress or the Obsidian Armor, its blue markings turn red and the arrows change to a shade of orange.

Among bows, Sharanga has the second-best Attack and Accuracy, the best Magic Attack and Evade (although it's tied with the Eagle Eye in the latter), and a decent HP bonus. Its only special effect is its ability to unleash Geometry with weapon-elemental skills; this deals good damage despite a lack of a non-elemental boost, but the unreliable trigger chance hampers its usefulness.
Despite its good offensive stats, Sharanga compares poorly to The Stinger, the Iron Tusk, and Earth's Whisper (when used for the unleash), all of which have even stronger (if less balanced) offenses, superior resistances, and/or more useful special effects. Even for non-elemental offense, Fenrir's Jaw typically does a much nicer job of things.
Sharanga resists Dry, Wet, Heavy, Light and Dispel, becoming immune to all of them at Level 5.
Equip Remix[]
Alt Sharanga is a Dark-based weapon with substantial Attack, average Magic Attack, and modest boosts to Accuracy and Evade. It powers up Dark skills and can counter attacks with Combo Shot, giving it an extra offensive edge and allowing it to passively apply statuses with the appropriate Flairs.
Much like its normal counterpart, Alt Sharanga has its merits, but not enough to stand out from Anna's other options. Her relative lack of viable Dark attacks wastes its elemental boost until Demon Swords becomes available late in the game; the Alt Angel Wing and Alt Fairy Bow have much more synergy for Anna's base kit on top of slightly more Attack. Additionally, Alt Fenrir's Jaw completely outclasses Alt Sharanga for general offense (although it's also dangerously frail), while The Alt Deceased has superior stats, a marginally more accessible elemental boost (especially fueling its unleash), and a good amount of support utility.
Alt Sharanga resists Dark and Holy. Neither of these becomes an immunity at Level 5.
Epic Battle Fantasy 5[]
Sharanga is found inside a chest in the Frozen Valley, one screen east of the Slime Cat. The chest is hidden in the bottom-left corner of the screen, below the stone monument and behind some coniferous trees.

Trivia[]
- Sharanga is named after the mythical bow of Lord Vishnu in Hindu lore.
- Sharanga could be considered the bow counterpart of Gungnir, having a similar design and attributes while being named after a mythological weapon. It also shares its naming theme with Kaladanda and the Honjo Masamune, but is otherwise very different.
