The Slime Mouse is a foe and a summon in Epic Battle Fantasy 5. It is mostly found in the Iron Fortress.
Appearance[]
The Slime Mouse is similar to the Yellow Slime of Epic Battle Fantasy 3, but all of its variants are borderline plagiarism blatant parodies of Electric-type "Mouse" Pokémon. Its body is yellow or orange in color, with large ears and a tail, two brown stripes on its back, and small oval markings on its cheeks.
The Slime Mouse has three variants:
- A dark yellow Pikachu slime with red cheek markings, long, pointed ears with brown tips, and a lightning-bolt-shaped tail with brown markings near the base.
- A light yellow Pichu slime with broader ears lined with brown along the upper edges and a shorter tail that is completely brown.
- An orange Dedenne slime with dark orange cheek markings, round brown ears with tan interiors, and a long, thin brown tail with a cluster of small spikes at the tip.
Overview[]
The Slime Mouse is a fairly simple foe that uses moderately weak Thunder attacks, which are mostly notable for their chance to inflict Stun. Fortunately, the chance of this taking effect are very low; even on higher difficulty levels, its most consistent Stun attack tops up at 30%. With that said, giving the party some Stun resistance can be helpful to avoid an unlucky immobilization, especially on Hard or Epic, when all of the Slime Mouse's skills can potentially inflict the status.
The Slime Mouse is easily slain, with low HP and Evade backing unimpressive resistances. Aside from a Thunder absorption and a Stun immunity, it is vulnerable to anything the party can throw at it; for maximum effect, use Dark, Bio, and especially Earth attacks. Like all Slimes in EBF5, it is also horribly vulnerable to Doom and Instant Death; Shredder and multi-target weapon-elemental skills with a weapon capable of inflicting Instant Death can wipe out entire waves at once, even without status-boosting gear.
Enabling "More Foe Resistance" makes the Slime Mouse neutral to Dark and immune to Earth and Wind.

Battle Logic[]
The following describes general logic of the enemy and attack patterns, with chances of each attack to be used. Conditions are listed from highest to lowest priority unless specified otherwise.
Action
- If catch score >55 and all players are Lovable → Surrender;
- If Berserked → Jump & Back;
- If Syphoned → Jump & Dissolve;
- Otherwise → Jump & Back (1/6), Jump & Dissolve (1/6), Jump & Stun (2/6), Thunder (2/6).
Counter (only if Counter-Attacking Foes is enabled)
- 100% and not Syphoned → Thunder.
Additionally, if any front line player has equipment that scares Slimes, the Slime Mouse will immediately Surrender and Flee on their turn.
Summon[]
The Slime Mouse can be captured and used as a summon; it can also be summoned automatically by the Alt Devil's Fork or the Alt Thor's Hammer. When called, it uses its Jump and Shock on a single foe, dealing weak physical Thunder damage with a ridiculously high chance to Stun them for a turn. Contrary to its description, Stunning is not guaranteed, particularly on resistant foes; nevertheless, the Slime Mouse's low SP cost and massive Stun chance can make it useful for preventing a dangerous foe from acting, especially when paired with Sharpen.

Trivia[]
- After completing Izumi's quest in the Greenwood Village, three Slime Mice with 9,999,999 HP will appear in her map zone. These are very useful for the "10 Million Damage" medal.
- These Slimes are Level 20, have 2 Hit2HP, and 100% resistance to Instant Death.
