There exist a huge diversity of slimes in every corner of the world. They come in all shapes and sizes, with varying elemental properties. All speicies are however pathetic and their deaths by that of your mighty sword shall not be mourned."

-Epic Battle Fantasy 3 intro.

Slimes are weak cannon fodder foes that appear in ever region of Epic Battle Fantasy 3 and most in the others. The creatures are highly adaptive and change element and apperance depending on their terrain. They can even breed with other species (as seen with the furry slime). They always appear in groups or with other types of foes, though thes

e usually share the same type. Slimes are the first and most basic enemys fought and are so weak that a peasant killing one with a pitchfork is a normal event.

Combat Style

Slimes attack by hurling themselves at the players then returning to their positions either by shrinking until they are invisible then teleporting back or by simply jumping. This strike inherits the element of the slime although none have special effects such as Freezing or poisoning. An example of this is, A blue slime's strike deals howevermuch water damage to the player. If the player is strong against or weak to water we or she will take more or less or it. Although it is water type this is a basic attack and will only hurt, not freeze. The only exepeprion is the yellow slime which casts lightning and stuns with it's attack. Little of this is useful because the power of the strike is so low that blows can usualy be shrugged off. Defencewise slimes are equaly as inferior. Low health and armor make them easly one-shot killed with the right move but they do have one trick up their sleeve. Again their elemental properties show themselves, as immunitys and weaknesses. A slime will absorb and regain health from an attack of their type. For instance a blue slime hit with a water-based move heals however much damage the strike would inflict, instead of just being immune to it's element. It is recomended that players use countering spells to fight Slimes because even a weak, opposing magic can dispose of this ooze. When facing other enemys at the same time, due to the facts that foes generaly share weaknesses and that slimes can be obliterated by their vulnerability, it is best to let aoe's kill them for you. Red slimes are immune to magic so they must be treated with a little thought.

Trivia

  • Slimes, kitten-warriors and Bushes the only creatures that have multiple models per type. (Ex. A green slime can have a sunflower, a mellon, a carrot, leaves or nothing on/in it but still be green slimes.)
  • Slimes are featured in a minigame similar to wack-a-mole where the player squishes them as they fall from the sky. A medal called Slime splatter is awarded for splatting 100 slimes in this game.
  • These creatures appear to be both common and aggressive, as run ins with them are often heard about.
  • Slimes are somehow related to Giant Slimes, perhaps through mutation or reverse ossmosis, as they share many qualitys of a basic cell.
  • Furry Slimes are also seen in EBF1.
  • Slimes are similar too the mob slime in a sandbox game called Minecraft.
  • There is a reference to Pokemon in one if the yellow slimes.
