The Spartan Cuirass is a male armor available in Epic Battle Fantasy 5. Its hat counterpart is the Spartan Helmet.

Description

The Spartan Cuirass gives the wearer golden armor around his upper body, as well as a red cloth around his neck. When worn by Matt or Lance, the chest plate has visible muscles sculpted onto it, and the outfit comes with a ragged red skirt, brown boots with gold toes, and brown sleeves with golden armor on the shoulders and cuffs. Matt's version of the armor also has a red cape.

Normal

The Spartan Cuirass is a heavy-duty defensive armor, with hefty boosts to Defence and Magic Defence, good HP, and a sprinkling of Accuracy and Evade. It's particularly good for tanking physical attacks, as it buffs Defence by 80% when defending. While a similar buff can be gained with Protect, the slightly higher intensity of the buff and the ability to tie it with Target during Defend makes the Spartan Cuirass great for tanking builds; however, the Space Ace gives it stiff competition with comparable bulk and on-Defend Regen.

The Spartan Cuirass lacks offensive stat boosts (although it does empower Fire skills), but it will occasionally summon a Crucified Fallen between turns. This deals heavy damage to a single target with a chance of Instant Death, but the trigger chance is too low to be significant.

The Spartan Cuirass resists Bomb, Weaken and Tired. The latter two become an immunity at Level 5.

Equip Remix

The Alt Spartan Cuirass has great Defence and Magic Defence, a small Attack increase, and the slightest bonus to Accuracy and Evade. When its wearer Defends himself, he gains a hefty Attack boost and several turns of Brave.

The Alt Spartan Cuirass resists Fire, Burn, Scorch, Weaken and Tired. It becomes immune to all but the first at Level 5.
