The Spartan Helmet is a male hat found in Epic Battle Fantasy 5 . Its armor counterpart is the Spartan Cuirass.
Description[]
The Spartan Helmet is a classic Illyrian crested helmet like the ones worn in ancient Greece. Its default color scheme is bronze with a red crest to match the Spartan Cuirass, but it changes to match the Heroic Armor and the Shell Armor if either is equipped with it. If NoLegs wears it, it gains a point on either side of the crest to accommodate his ears.

The Spartan Helmet gives above-average boosts to both defenses and somewhat raises HP, which it can buff further when the wearer Defends himself. It also has a fairly high chance to grant Morale between turns, giving its wearer added insurance against powerful attacks while rendering him immune to defensive debuffs.
Although the Spartan Helmet is a great asset for defensive builds, the Space Helmet has even better bulk, automatic (if slightly less consistent) Regen, and much earlier availability. However, the Spartan Helmet can make excellent use of its resistances in The Rapture and the Lava Lake, especially when fighting the Blaze Hydra.
The Spartan Helmet resists Fire, Death, and Doom, becoming immune to the latter two at Level 5.
Equip Remix[]
The Alt Spartan Helmet ignites the wearer's spirit in more ways than one. It has good Defence and decent Magic Defence along with a strong Attack boost, and it will inflict Burn and Berserk on its wearer after every turn. The former may seem like a penalty, but the helmet will have enough Fire resistance to actually heal its wearer at Level 3 and above, making Burn and Scorch passively regenerate HP (although the latter still debuffs HP to hamper the wearer's bulk overall); when fully forged, it can also negate Fire attacks with at least a 50% elemental degree.
Although the Alt Spartan Helmet has many assets - great Attack, useful resistances, and a makeshift Regen effect on top of negating a fairly common element - its auto-Berserk restricts its utility to all-out offensive builds that specifically require the status to maximize their damage (such as ones involving NoLegs's Alt Blood Bank or Matt's Alt Berzerker). It's also outclassed by the Alt Horned Helmet in terms of raw Attack, although this comes at the price of much less bulk and a big Magic Attack penalty.
The Alt Spartan Helmet resists Fire, Weaken, Tired, Death, and Doom, At Level 5, its status resistances become an immunity, and its Fire resistance maxes out at 200%.
Epic Battle Fantasy 5[]
The Spartan Helmet is found in the lava area of the Crystal Caverns, inside a chest that becomes accessible after defeating Vulcan.
