Charm

Charm being cast on Natalie, EBF4

Star Power (named Bless in the third game and Charm in the fourth) is a stat-buffing skill available for Natalie in Epic Battle Fantasy 3, 4 and 5.

Description

This skill causes a large golden emblem resembling a star surrounded by a larger star-shaped outline to appear over the target. The star spins once before disappearing, giving a buff to the target's Magic Attack that fades by 5% every turn.

The most obvious use for Star Power is to let Natalie cast it on herself, allowing her to deal more damage with attack spells and restore additional HP with her healing spells. However, it's usually more efficient to use the skill on a magically-inclined ally in later games (notably Lance), allowing them to attack with the full power of the buff.

In EBF5, Star Power also grants Good Luck to its target, giving them additional small benefits on top of the Magic Attack buff; however, it also suffers from a 1-turn cooldown. Its effectiveness can be amplified by buff-boosting gear; on the other hand, Food-boosting gear allows other characters to give a comparable buff through the use of Cola.
