The Stunflower is a foe in Epic Battle Fantasy 4 and 5. In EBF4, it is usually found in the Lankyroot Jungle; in EBF5, it appears in the Data Bunker. It is a member of the flower enemy class.
Appearance[]
The Stunflower is a yellow flower with many small petals and a few long pistils in its center. This gives it a vague resemblance to a satellite dish.
Overview[]
The Stunflower is armed with mainly Thunder spells such as Thunderbolt, but it can also poke a single target with its flower or release a cloud of spores on the party. It can also charge up for a turn in order to launch a powerful laser attack against the entire party. As its name suggests, most of the Stunflower's attacks can Stun their targets, with the spores and laser being especially potent.
Stunflowers are weak to Fire, Ice, Wind and Poison, but absorb Water and Thunder. They also resist Syphon.
Epic Battle Fantasy 4[]
Without Stun resistance, players may find themselves getting Stunned rather frequently, especially by its Stun Spores attack. Ironically enough, despite having resistance to it, Syphoning a Stunflower is not really a good idea since it will use its most powerful attack every turn. However, it can stop a Charged Stunflower from firing its Solar Beam.
Epic Battle Fantasy 5[]
The Stunflower is largely unchanged from its previous appearance aside from the fact that its Stun Spores have become even more dangerous. This attack has high accuracy, debuffs Accuracy and its Stun chance is doubled on higher difficulties. Its Bulb Blast attack is also partially Thunder-elemental instead of non-elemental.
Interestingly, the Stunflower's resistances and weaknesses are identical to its EBF4 appearance.

Epic Battle Fantasy 5[]
Action
- If Syphoned or Berserked → Bulb Blast;
- If Charged → Solar Beam;
- Otherwise → Thunderbolt (1/4), Bulb Blast (1/4), Stun Spores (1/4), Charge (1/4).

Trivia[]
- A Stunflower appears in wave 24 of Monster Marathon, alongside the other Flowers.
- The Stunflower's Stun Spores and Solar Beam attacks are likely references to the Pokemon moves of the same names. The party will comment the first time these moves are used.
