The Swordbreaker is a Dark-elemental sword available for Matt in Epic Battle Fantasy 3.
Description[]
The Swordbreaker has a large, irregularly-shaped black blade with a jagged silver cutting edge. The blade is decorated with silver details, including several round holes surrounded by metal rings. The largest ring is attached to the similarly-colored hilt, which appears to be tightly wrapped in white cloth. Another silver ring acts as the pommel of the sword.
The Swordbreaker is a defensive weapon with good defenses and mediocre offenses. It acts as something of a dual-duty support weapon, with the ability to debuff the target's Attack with Weapon-elemental skills and being able to inflict a guaranteed Dispel with Unleash. This Unleash is unique in that its Dispel bypasses resistances and Evade, allowing it to remove the buffs of absolutely any foe Matt targets. Furthermore, while some foes can only be debuffed to a certain degree, the Swordbreaker can abuse Legend to sharply debuff a foe's Attack, such as the Light Golem.
While the Swordbreaker is very useful for a support-oriented Matt, the Soul Eater is a superior option for Dark-based damage or raw power, preferably with a Berserker Matt build.
The Swordbreaker has a Dark resistance which does not become an immunity at Level 5.
