The Phantom is a cannon with a massive rectangular barrel constantly glowing bright red. Mysterious patterns decorate the weapon's back and barrel, also glowing with a bright red color. This gun, in a manner similar to the Deep Blue, has a giant blade on top of the barrel, but it is blood red in color.
The Phantom boasts obscene Attack and a nice pinch of Evade, but suffers from a mediocre Magic Attack boost and a wretched defensive penalty. It essentially resembles Anarchy; great physical offense, poor defenses. Unfortunately, most Lance builds will specialize in magical attacks, making The Phantom not nearly as appropiate for Lance as the Anarchy is for Matt. Of course, it can deal blistering damage with Unload and Double Shot (both of which will have a great chance of Dispelling the target), but this is far less useful than having the Shadow Blaster use Antimatter. Speaking of which, The Phantom casts Antimatter as a bonus skill, albeit with the lowest power multiplier of all damaging bonus skills in the game.
Ultimately, while The Phantom has impressive offensive stats, its dreadful defenses and poor compatibility with Lance's skillset makes it generally inferior to more reliable guns such as the Shadow Blaster. It does have a niche in its high Dispel chance, but Crush is more feasible in most cases and the Vortex Cannon's Unload is almost as effective where it isn't.
