The Thunder Spear is a Thunder-based staff available for Natalie in Epic Battle Fantasy 3.
Description[]
The Thunder Spear is a red staff with a pointed golden head and pommel. The head consists of three large points, with the central point being the largest and the two smaller points being perpendicular to it and the shaft. The shaft has a slightly polished appearance, but is otherwise unremarkable.
The Thunder Spear provides a good Magic Attack stat and a modest amount of Evade. It empowers Natalie's Thunder attacks, including the Thunderbolt it casts as a bonus skill when she uses her Normal Attack; conveniently, the staff also enables Natalie to counter with said Normal Attack, giving her more chances to use Thunderbolt. However, its most notable asset is its Unleash, which has a 150% chance to Stun its target for 2 turns. This allows Natalie to quickly disable any foe without significant Stun resistance; even slightly resistant foes won't be safe.
Outside of its elemental boost and stunning unleash, the Thunder Spear is practically identical to the Arctic Wind, Seraphim, or Flameheart; thus, it should be used when its specific resistances or boosted spells are necessary. For general magical offense, the Crystal Staff, the Obsidian, or the Dark Tooth will usually outperform it.
The Thunder Spear provides resistance against Wind and especially Thunder, maxing out at 30% and 50%, respectively. It also has a slight Earth weakness that remains at 20% no matter its forging level.
Epic Battle Fantasy 3[]
The Thunder Spear is found in the Kitten Kingdom Ruins, one screen south of the gate requiring four Crimson Orbs to unlock. The chest containing the Thunder Spear is found near the leftmost stone arch, guarded by a battle that appears as a Yellow Slime.
