- "Oooh, thunder! That'll be good against a lot of flying enemies, and robots too."
- ―Natalie, Epic Battle Fantasy 4
Thunderbolt is an advanced Thunder-elemental skill available for Natalie throughout the Epic Battle Fantasy series. It is one of the few skills to appear in every game of the main series so far.
Description[]
When cast, lightning strikes the target multiple times, dealing moderate magical Thunder damage. It frequently has a small chance to Stun the target.
Thunderbolt is generally Natalie's strongest option for single-target Thunder damage, with Thunder Storm sacrificing some power for the ability to hit all foes at once. Its Stun chance is frequently negligible, so it should be used mainly for its offensive power.

Epic Battle Fantasy 2[]
Thunderbolt's MP cost has increased, but it also has higher power, above-average Accuracy, and a chance to Stun the target for a turn. Before the EBF Collection update, the in-game description incorrectly stated the skill had 6500 power instead of 6900.

Epic Battle Fantasy 3[]
Like all skills in EBF3, Thunderbolt now requires AP to learn and upgrade; it also requires Natalie to know Thunder beforehand. The Dragon Killer and the Thunder Spear can also cast Thunderbolt when their wielder uses a weapon-elemental skill.
Thunderbolt behaves similarly to its first two appearances, but it hits three times instead of five, has normal Accuracy, and only gains its Stun chance when fully upgraded.
Epic Battle Fantasy 4[]
Thunderbolt is functionally identical to its EBF3 version, but with a few improvements. Its Accuracy is once again slightly higher than normal, its base power at Level 2 and 3 has increased, and it has a chance to Stun foes at any level; however, the Stun chance is also very slightly lower than its previous appearance.
Epic Battle Fantasy 5[]
Thunderbolt is the upgraded form of Thunder, becoming available at Level 3; in turn, it becomes Thunder Storm at Level 5. Its main difference from its previous incarnations is the slightly higher Stun chance; it's also completely free to use, since MP was removed and it has no cooldown.

Trivia[]
- Thunderbolt's animation in EBF1 and 2 would be used by Thunder in later games, with Thunderbolt gaining a new, more intense animation.
