The Tribolt is a Thunder-elemental staff available for Natalie in Epic Battle Fantasy 4.
Description[]
The Tribolt is a steel rod with a ring-like head and two small spikes. Three yellow crystals are attached to the head via metal plates, protruding perpendicularly to the outer and inner edges of the ring so their points just barely avoid touching each other in the center.
The Tribolt has solid Magic Attack, as well as modest boosts to HP, Defence, and Magic Defence; however, this comes at the cost of a significant Evade penalty. It can Stun targets with weapon-elemental attacks, but Natalie's only options for such skills are her Normal Attack or her Spectrum spell, neither of which is especially efficient for applying status effects. It also has a Thunderbolt unleash to take advantage of its elemental boost even when Natalie isn't using her own Thunder spells, but this is a relatively minor boon that mostly serves to increase its damage output.
Overall, the Tribolt is a serviceable elemental staff that fails to stand out from its counterparts. Its main statistical advantage over the likes of the Flameheart or the Razorwind lies in its balanced defenses, but this is minor at best, especially with its Evade drop. As a defensive staff, it is completely outclassed by the Flower Pot, which has identical HP and far superior defenses while lacking an Evade penalty and an elemental weakness. This generally relegates the Tribolt to the same niche as its competitors; an alternative to the Crystal Staff when its elemental affinity is more valuable than nonspecific magical power.
The Tribolt resists Thunder and Wind, neither of which becomes an immunity at Level 5. It is also vulnerable to Earth, with the weakness remaining at a constant level throughout its forging.

The Tribolt is found in Waste Disposal Plant, in the bottom-right corner of the map, in a chest surrounded by spikes. To disable the spikes, take the Battery on the right side of the screen, reachable from a few screens above.
