The Veggie Slime, also known as the Green Slime, is a foe in Epic Battle Fantasy 3 and 4. It appears mostly around forested areas, such as the Vegetable Forest (in EBF3) and Lankyroot Jungle (in EBF4).

Appearance

The Veggie Slime is simply a green blob with beady black eyes, a small, cat-like mouth, and a vegetable or flower resting on its head or embedded in its body.

Variants

In EBF3, the Veggie Slime would randomly appear as one of three variants:

  1. Vines and three sunflowers
  2. Leaves and a carrot
  3. Vines and two watermelons

While the Veggie Slime's EBF4 variants were initially identical to EBF3's, the Battle Mountain update replaced all of them with new ones; the same happened to its bigger version. The new Veggie Slime variants include:

  1. Vines and one large sunflower
  2. Two carrots
  3. A turnip
  4. An ear of corn

Overview

The Veggie Slime is one of the weakest enemies in the games it appears in, only using the basic non-elemental jump attacks of all Slimes.

In EBF3, it appears very early and is typically the tutorial foe; the worst it can do is rarely inflict a weak Poison effect with one of its attacks. On Epic difficulty, it starts a battle with Poison status, allowing it to regain health over time, but it still doesn't pose much of a threat.

In EBF4, Veggie Slimes appear later on, but they are only slightly stronger than their previous version. By this point, you should have powerful Fire spells, which the Slime is extremely weak to. Its only advantage is the new Slimed status, which blocks the affected from taking turns and doubles damage taken, making the affected a very easy target for the Veggie Slime's stronger allies. While the infliction chance is relatively low, it's a major thing whenever it occurs, and your best bet is to eliminate the Veggie Slime before it happens.
