Vines is an advanced Poison-elemental skill available primarily for foes in Epic Battle Fantasy 1 and 3, for Anna in Epic Battle Fantasy 4, and for Matt, Anna and NoLegs in Epic Battle Fantasy 5. It is one of the few skills whose type varies between games.
In EBF4 and EBF5, it is the upgraded version of Ivy.
In EBF5, Vines as well as its pre upgraded form, Ivy, can see great use on NoLegs. Matt and Anna already have Bio attacks (Overgrowth and Razor Leaf respectively), while NoLegs has none. While weaker than the others, Vines is reasonably strong and can fill the niche of a Bio skill for NoLegs.
Epic Battle Fantasy
Inaccessible to players, it is used only by Haunted Tree. It deals physical damage and doesn't inflict Poison yet.
Epic Battle Fantasy 3
It can be accessed by players only as a bonus spell from the Nirvana staff. Giant Green Slime, Haunted Tree and Rune Claw (only in Earth mode) can also use Vines. It deals magical damage and now can inflict Poison.
|Notes: Power is 40 when used by foes, or else 300% of Natalie's Normal Attack's power.|
Epic Battle Fantasy 4
It became a part of Anna's skillset; it can also be used as a bonus spell from the Nirvana staff and the Fairy Bow. Big Green Bush, Florn and Haunted Tree can also use Vines. It deals physical damage for once again.
